The article provides a critical analysis of existing preschool education programs and developments to introduce children to the technosphere. Based on a summary of modern pedagogical and psychological research, a situational-game technology for developing senior preschoolers’ experience of cognitive and creative activity in the technosphere is proposed. It is presented as a system of educational game situations that promote children’s rational cognition of the technosphere based on analysis, synthesis, comparison and classification, identifying the main and secondary, discovering the simplest cause-and-effect relationships within technical objects, as well as their creative transformation.
