The article is devoted to one of the possible interpretations of the ecological and psychological culture of future artists of traditional handicrafts. The ecopsychological focus is considered as an important condition for improving the quality of higher education in this unique field of art. The article provides examples of using interdisciplinary connections between ecology and psychology with general professional and specialized disciplines, which allow students to develop a holistic understanding of the mechanisms of human perception of beauty. It is substantiated that the involvement of information from the basics of ecological psychology and neuroaesthetics will help students to better understand and preserve the experience of our ancestors, who lived and created their works of folk art in full harmony with nature. Developed ecological and psychological culture will help students to create modern highly artistic products in different types of traditional art crafts.
