Engineering education is one of the most popular in modern socio-economic conditions. The relevance of the formation of professionally significant personal qualities for students of engineering specialties is confirmed by the increase in the humanitarian component, the importance of the social block in the framework of training. The article presents the author's position in defining the concept of «professionally significant personal qualities of students of secondary vocational education in the context of contextual learning». The results of the implementation of the technology for the formation of professionally significant personal qualities of students of secondary vocational education in the context of contextual learning are analyzed. This technology consists of the following components: value, personality-oriented, reflexive. The technology is implemented in KGBPOU «Biysk Industrial and Technological College». Two groups participated in the pedagogical experiment - control (n = 378 people) and experimental - (n = 410 people). The effectiveness of the technology implementation is confirmed by statistical analysis, using the Llierfors criterion.
