The article substantiates the methods of teaching in primary school on the basis of the epistemological approach, proposes their classifications based on the dialectical interaction of scientific knowledge, elements of education and the description of the learning process. Particular attention is paid to the substantiation of teaching methods depending on the known patterns on the basis of the relationship between the model and the original, proposed by S.P. Baranov, examples of their use in teaching younger schoolchildren are proposed.
