The main postulates of the education system in the Russian Empire, which were conditioned by the social ideologies of the late XIX – early XX century, laid the foundations for the further development of the educational process in Russia. The pedagogical heritage of the founders of the education system of the specified period retains its importance when considering the issues of forming a holistic worldview of the younger generation, which determines the rethinking of the pedagogical process. The ideas of pedagogical education of the late XIX - early XX century suggest the interconnection of the educational system of fundamental human attitudes. The relevance of the study lies, according to the research of modern scientists, in the insufficient understanding of the ideas of the founders of the education system in the Russian Empire of the XIX century - the beginning of the XX century. The purpose of the study is to consider the confirmation of the relevance of the pedagogical ideas of the founders of the education system of the Russian Empire at the end of the XIX century - the beginning of the XX century in the context of the formation of a new education system. By the method of systematic analysis of scientific sources and normative documents regulating the sphere of pedagogical education at the end of the XIX century - the beginning of the XX century and at the present stage, pedagogical systems of the educational process were studied, which, in accordance with the Concepts of education, are relevant today. It is concluded that the formation of the vector of the educational process was laid at the end of the XIX century - the beginning of the XX century, which led to a further transformation of the educational system, since the modern education system includes the conceptual foundations of the founders of the education system and allows for the integrity of the pedagogical process.
