Obtaining a high-quality education is a necessary condition for the manifestation of the abilities of a modern person and for him to receive material benefits and resources. The article reveals the content of the basic concepts of the knowledge management process, identifying the differences between knowledge and information, understanding, and cognition. Their properties and types are revealed, principles and strategies of knowledge management are explored. Knowledge of the basic organizational forms of knowledge management will assist the manager in education in the process of organizing and systematizing knowledge in an educational institution, as well as in enhancing the cognitive interest of students in the learning process.
