The article discusses the features of the introduction of 3D technologies, AR and VR technologies in education. The method of organizing the contest "VR Hackathon – Virtual reality in the real world" is described. The importance of holding such competitions for the orientation of students to professions in innovative, scientific and engineering activities is highlighted.
