Based on the materials stored in the personal archive, in the funds of the Military Historical Museum "Zaitseva Gora", the article tells about the participant of the Great Patriotic War, Buslo Stepan Dmitrievich, describes his combat path, work in the museum he created. The author's attention is drawn to the significant role of research activities in the development of personality, the importance of preserving historical memory on the example of the heroism and courage of ancestors in the history of the country.
