The article presents and comments on a set of tasks for the formation of reading literacy of students in the Russian language lesson. Answers and criteria for evaluating tasks are given. The results of practical application and diagnostics of the results of completing tasks for the formation of reading literacy, identified by the author in the course of participant observation, are presented and summarized.
