Abstract (English):
The article considers the issues of comprehensive development and patriotic education of younger schoolchildren on the basis of studying history and culture, labor traditions, crafts, land-use skills of native land. The experience of primary school teachers on the use of local history material in the classroom and in done outside of class hours activities is presented on the example of the school museum of local lore in the village of Striguny, Borisov district of the Belgorod region: “Strigunovsky Onion”.
