The article presents a methodology for pedagogical analysis and evaluation of the educational effect of the participation of younger schoolchildren in the tourist and local lore expedition, which is regarded as a new direction in the sports and recreational work of the educational institution, aimed at developing the personality of the student. The content of the assessed indicators, criteria and indicators of the effectiveness of tourism and local lore activities conducted with children is disclosed.

На современном этапе в условиях реализации в Российской Федерации новой парадигмы образования и вступления в действие Федерального государственного образовательного стандарта начального общего образования второго поколения (ФГОС НОО) качественно изменился подход к содержанию внеурочной деятельности.
