The article is based on the materials and results of scientifi c research, carried out in 2017 by lecturer of the department of personnel management and political analysis as an extension of interdepartmental scientifi c research in 2016 on the issue “Youth policy as key component of the system of development of qualifi ed human resources of Russian Far East Federal district”. The problem of attitude to work among young people is analyzed in the paper, as a consequence of the general trends: losing respect and high status “man of labor”, value of high level professionalism and employee personal qualities, focusing on the material aspect of employment. To solve this problem, the authors proposed the use of tools of professional orientation and mentoring as personal development tools in the sphere of youth policy, at both on the state and corporate levels.

Если рассматривать текущую ситуацию, сложившуюся в сфере молодежи как стратегически важного трудового ресурса, помимо количественного аспекта, в ней присутствуют и проблемные зоны, вызванные особенностями трудовых и общекультурных ценностей, занимающих доминирующие позиции в сознании молодых специалистов.
