The publication presents an interview with the leading employee of the Institute of Content and Methods of Teaching named after V.S. Lednev O.M. Aleksandrova and an interview with the Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation N.V. Belyaeva, who, answering the questions of our correspondent, highlighted the typical difficulties that schoolchildren encounter at the initial and basic stages of learning the Russian language and literature. O.M. Aleksandrova and N.V. Belyaeva also suggested ways to eliminate difficulties, which reduces the risks of failure and stimulates children’s interest in philological subjects. This is extremely important both for improving the quality of mastering other school subjects and for the formation of a comprehensively developed, harmonious personality.
