MONITORING THE DEMAND AND EFFECTIVENESS OF USING EDUCATIONAL GAMES IN STUDYING LIFE SAFETY ISSUES IN HIGH SCHOOL
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
In the educational process, there is always a search for such teaching technologies, methods and techniques, the result of the application of which will be not only high-quality assimilation of knowledge on the subject, but also the creation of conditions for maximum development, disclosure of the creative potential of each student and increase in educational motivation, among other things. The potential of the game in education for solving the above problems has been indisputably proven by both domestic and foreign researchers. However, in the practice of comprehensive schools, the use of game methods is maximally concentrated at the elementary school level and significantly decreases from grade to grade, reaching a minimum at the senior stage of education. In this regard, the purpose of our study is to analyze the theoretical and methodological aspects of the use of educational games in the lessons of Fundamentals of Security and Defense of the Motherland (hereinafter FSMD) in grades 9-10 of a comprehensive school. The study had to solve several problems: to consider the possibilities of the game method of teaching in the formation of knowledge, skills and abilities of senior schoolchildren; to characterize the types of educational games that can be used in high school in FSMD lessons; to identify the requirements for the organization and implementation of educational games in OBZR lessons; to conduct a survey using the questionnaire method among students in grades 9–10 of comprehensive schools in Petrozavodsk to identify the demand and effectiveness of using educational games in OBZR lessons. Analysis and generalization of the data allowed us to conclude that the use of game teaching methods in OBZR lessons, namely role-playing games, simulation training and analysis of specific situations, will contribute to the formation of subject results for students.
