ABSTRACT

The widespread use of digital technologies has led to the emergence of a new type of aggressive behavior: cyberaggression. Our research, presented in this article, aims to identify the preventive potential of traditional values in the context of aggression in the digital environment. Various sources of literature were analyzed during the research. The theoretical part also includes existing statistical data. The research was conducted at the Moscow State University of Technology and Management named after K.G. Razumovsky (the First Cossack University). The total number of respondents was 300 people aged 19 to 26. The results of the study showed a correlation between adherence to traditional values and the reaction to cyberaggression. Students with a high level of acceptance of traditional values are less likely to engage in cyberaggression. Additionally, students who place a strong emphasis on “justice” are more likely to respond actively when faced with online aggression. However, there was also a significant percentage of students who adopted a passive stance when confronted with cyberaggression. Therefore, we recommend focusing on developing practical skills to combat cyberaggression.
