NATIONAL-CULTURAL SPECIFICITY OF PHATIC DIALOGICAL COMMUNICATION IN MODERN RUSSIAN SPEECH

Abstract (English):
The paper examines national-cultural features of the discursive implementation of phatic dialogical communication models in modern Russian speech in the aspect of the problem of speech embodiment of communicative values of Russian culture. The relevance of the study lies in its scientific and general cultural significance for the linguo-cultural study of the foundations of national mentality, as well as the theory of cross-cultural communication. The aim of the study is to analyze examples of question-answer adjacency pairs extracted from the Russian National Corpus, which manifest various models of "Russian high-context phatics". The methodological basis of the study is the principles of cognitive-oriented linguo-cultural analysis of key concepts of national culture. The research methods of cognitive-discursive analysis of units of speech interaction according to corpus data are used. The article considers cooperative speech strategies that implement the focus on empathy, on "heart-to-heart communication", on the one hand, and conflict speech strategies aimed at "clarifying relations", on the other. It is concluded that the focus on an increased emotional degree of communication as a manifestation of the focus on mutual sincerity of communicants leads to the absence of respect for the speaker's personal space in the system of "communicative values of Russian culture". The scientific novelty of the study lies in the introduction of new, corpusbased material on Russian dialogic speech into the scientific circulation of modern communicative linguistic, as well as a new aspect of linguistic analysis of dialogue through the prism of national conditioning of speech interaction models. The practical significance of the study is due to the possibility of using its results in teaching university courses in communicative linguistics, lingocultural studies and discourse analysis, as well as in teaching Russian as a foreign language.
