THE PROBLEM OF DEVELOPING PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES OF TEACHERS WORKING WITH STUDENTS IN PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CLASSES

Abstract (English):
The article presents the experience of A.I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University in the development of professional competencies of various categories of teachers working in psychological and pedagogical classes. A network training program developed and tested at the university is described, and its innovative nature is justified. Its main features are the team form of training organization, the possibility of choosing variable modules, the development and protection of team projects, and the network form of implementation. The results of the audience survey based on the results of the program testing are analyzed. The requests for practice orientation, psychological unpreparedness of a number of teachers for serious training, underestimation of the theoretical foundations of educational activity, lack of a comprehensive vision of various areas of work in specialized psychological and pedagogical classes, possible problems and ways to solve them are revealed. Conclusions on the improvement of work in this direction are given. The research was supported by an internal grant of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (project No. 33VG).
