The article is devoted to the creation of a communicative portrait of students who speak Serbian for their learning another language. To create a communicative portrait of a Serbian-speaking learner against the background of a native Russian speaker, we analyzed scientific studies in the field of linguistics, linguoculturology, and also comprehended works that explore the communicative behavior of various ethnic groups; developed a questionnaire for conducting an empirical study of the communicative behavior of Serbian-speaking learners against the background of native Russian speakers; studied and interpreted the obtained questionnaire results; classified the most significant language differences; identified differences between the communicative behavior of Serbian speakers and native Russian speakers. The above actions allowed us to identify not only the main distinctive features of the language and speech of Serbian speakers, but also the features of their communicative behavior, as well as to create a communicative portrait of a Serbian-speaking learner, and further determine the training strategy for the contingent, the tactics that are necessary when modeling the process of teaching Russian to Serbian-speaking students.
