The article is devoted to the study of emotional burnout of medical university students in the educational process. The authors consider the problems of stress and coping strategies for students to overcome difficulties related to the specifics of studying at a medical university. The study involved 38 third-year students of the Pediatric Faculty of Yaroslavl State Medical University. The following methods were used to diagnose emotional burnout. Maslach, S. Jackson), stress conditions (K. Schreiner) and coping strategies (R. Lazarus). The results showed that the majority of students (57.9%) are able to regulate their emotions and cope with stress, but 15.8% show signs of overwork and emotional fatigue. The most frequently used coping strategies turned out to be escape-avoidance, distancing, and positive reassessment. In conclusion, the authors conclude that medical university students tend to deny problems and escape. In conclusion, the authors conclude that students of a medical university tend to deny problems and avoid emotional stress, which may indicate insufficient adaptation to the educational environment of a medical university.
