The article substantiates the relevance of the formation of financial literacy among students as a component of functional literacy, its substantive and technological vertical continuity in the triad "Preschool educational institution – junior grades – middle/high school"; the existing conceptual synonymous row, existing problems in the implementation of the process under study, the importance of organizing a financial development environment are noted.
