The publication reveals the priority learning objectives set for the modern Russian primary school, which are formulated in the Federal State Educational Standard. With the use of theoretical material and based on obvious examples, the special significance of building an educational process that promotes meta-subject achievements of primary school students is proven. This allows students to use generalized methods of action in different, including unfamiliar situations, regardless of the subject content, and also stimulates the successful intellectual development of children and their effective mastery of any subject.
