The article is devoted to the analysis of skills that employers pay close attention to when hiring employees at the present time. The article presents the results of a study of the requirements for vacancies of business coaches and managers who are engaged in training and developing employee competencies, using the example of large and medium-sized Russian and international companies operating in the Russian market. The analysis revealed the special attention of employers to the functional responsibilities of such specialists, who now, in addition to developing basic professional competencies of personnel such as sales, negotiations, project management, product knowledge, managerial efficiency, etc., also need to develop soft skills among employees of different levels and fields of activity. The results of the conducted research can be used in the development and implementation of additional professional educational programs aimed at professional training of employees for the modern labor market.
