SYNDEMIA OF CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article deals with the problem of comorbidity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cardiovascular diseases, which has acquired the character of syndemia to date. The prevalence of these pathologies and their joint course is analyzed. The general pathophysiological mechanisms and biomarkers underlying the mutually aggravating course of these pathologies are described. Attention is paid to the peculiarities of the use of cardiovascular drugs in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and their effect on the course of respiratory pathology. The prognostic value of comorbidity of the described continuum and the associated increased risk of adverse outcomes are considered.
