The sensory level of cognition is necessary in science, since it prepares the "ground" for the next level of scientific knowledge – empirical. The subject of sensory cognition is sensory reality, the content of which is formed on the basis of the interaction of the subject with objective reality. Sensory reality is objective and subjective, since scientists can perceive the same object in different ways, depending on both the practical and theoretical goals of its research. The main methods of sensory cognition in science are observation, experiment and measurement. They form the content of sensory scientific reality.
