The article is devoted to the description of the early stage of the study of I.A.Bunin's creativity in China. The features of the translation of the author's texts into Chinese in the 1920s and 1930s are revealed, the circumstances of the publication of the first separate edition of the writer's works are described. The biographies of Chinese scientists Wei Song Wu and Zhang Diankuan are given, and their works devoted to the study of the work of the first Russian Nobel laureate are characterized.
