The problem of wear in contacting flat surfaces with the periodic micro-movement in the joint – the so-called fret-ting process is considered. There are defined peculiarities in the formation of operation roughness in the joint depend-ing on loading and a possibility for obtaining equilibrium roughness through the method of diamond abrasion-planetary honing.
