The article is devoted to the cartographic teaching method, its psychological and pedagogical features associated with the visualization of spatially distributed information. The method regains its relevance in connection with the spread of "screen" information. The roots of modern infographics, representing any information in a graphical form, lie in the bosom of cartography - the science of displaying the spatial arrangement of things, phenomena using conventional symbols using graphic models - maps. The methodological lessons "lessons" of visualization of educational information are underlined.
