This article examines a system for teaching primary schoolchildren text comprehension, which is the foundation of meaningful reading. The author draws on a psychodidactic approach to teaching, which takes into account the psychological characteristics of the comprehension process. Examples are provided of how primary schoolchildren develop text comprehension techniques that stimulate their internal activity.
