The purpose of the article is to identify the specifics of the prospects and limitations of digital technologies for the development of modern political consulting. The author examines the digital transformation of political consulting in close connection with the process of policy virtualization. As a methodological basis, the author relies on the principles of SWOT analysis. Clustering of the conditions of digital transformation of the political sphere has made it possible to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of digital technologies for the development of political consulting as a separate professional activity. The author highlights the main advantages of digital technologies, which include a high level of interactivity, expanding the arsenal of collecting and analyzing large amounts of data, improving the quality of political forecasting, and creating new approaches to creating political images and brands. At the same time, he notes the risks and limitations, such as violation of confidentiality, dependence on the national regulatory framework, the threat of information manipulation, and possible negative processes of full automation of the political process. The conducted analysis allows us to conclude that it is necessary to adapt political consultants to the conditions of the digital environment, while maintaining a balance of human and technical factors. The research has theoretical and practical significance, contributing to a better understanding of current trends in the digitalization of politics and the ways in which political consultants interact with new technologies.
