FUNDAMENTAL PHYSICS EXPERIMENTS AND THEIR DIDACTIC COMPLEXITY

Abstract:
Fundamental experiments are called experiments, the results of which formed the empirical basis of physics. They helped to discover new objects, phenomena, or functional dependencies, measure fundamental constants, and prove or disprove physical theories. The study of fundamental physical experiments (FPE) allows us to substantiate the most important ideas, develops scientific thinking, physical in-tuition, makes abstract concepts visual, inspires and motivates students, connects theory with reality. The article analyzes the problem of assessing the didactic complexity of the FPE, which is an objective characteristic of the intellectual efforts and time required for the student to understand and assimilate the conditions and results of the experiment. It depends on the technical complexity of the installation, the conceptual depth and abstractness of the reasoning, the complexity of the measurement methodology, the difficulty of interpreting the results, the clarity and logical transparency of the experiment. The criteria for the fundamentality of the physical experiment are determined, the most important factors affecting its didactic complexity are listed, and the didactic complexity of studying one hundred FPE on a ten-point scale is assessed using a neural network.
