The prevalence of neurological and mental illnesses is steadily increasing. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), by 2024, more than 5% of the world's population suffers from depressive disorders, and the number of patients with Alzheimer's disease has reached 55 million people. At the same time, the problem of drug addiction disorders remains relevant, characterized by a high incidence of morbidity and mortality, caused, in particular, by cardiovascular complica-tions such as arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies and sudden cardiac death. Against the background of this trend, there is an increasing interest in using ECG as an ad-ditional method for detecting cardiac markers associated with pathophysiological changes observed in neurological, psychiatric and drug-related diseases. In particular, changes in the QT interval, T-wave morphology, and the presence of arrhythmias may indicate an imbalance of the autonomic nervous system, electrolyte disturbances, and direct toxic effects of psychoactive substances on the myocardium. This article is devoted to a review of current data on the use of ECG in complex diag-nostics and monitoring of patients with neurological, psychiatric and drug treatment disorders, with an emphasis on specific ECG patterns associated with these conditions, as well as discussing the prospects and limitations of using this method in clinical practice. The article will consider the fea-tures of ECG use in: ischemic stroke, cerebral hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, schizo-phrenia, alcohol and drug addiction, etc.
