ANALYSIS OF POSSIBLE DESIGN SOLUTIONS OF LOCOMOTIVE TRACTION DRIVES
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The problem of criteria for choosing a traction drive for promising freight locomotives is considered. As a result of the analysis of traction drive designs that maximize traction properties and reduce wheel slippage on the rail, it is found that the specified requirements are met by the design of drives with the support of a large gear wheel on the axle of the wheelset and the presence of an elastic link in the shaft lines, namely drives with a support frame suspension TED and an axial gearbox with an axial suspension TED of an aggregate layout and with axial suspension TED of an integrated layout with elastic elements on the high-speed or slow-speed side of the traction transmission. An aggregate drive with a reduced number of axial bearings and an increased space for their placement, an integrated drive with a torsion bar in a hollow armature, and an integrated drive with an elastic link in the form of disc rubber-cord couplings are proposed.
