The article analyzes the process of forming cross-cultural competence in junior university students. The culture of communication as an integrative characteristic of personality is necessary in the process of interpersonal interaction. It is noted directly – the successful development of the export of educational services has led to a significant increase in the study of foreign languages in educational institutions. The authors of the article point out the need to teach foreign language communication focusing on the dialogue of cultures. The components of the culture of foreign language communication are determined. Components of the culture of foreign language communication have been identified. The results of the survey indicate that calm, favorable relations develop among students, contributing to their involvement in an active student life. On the example of patriotic education activities, the effectiveness of the formation of cross-cultural competence among students has been proven.
