KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AS A FACTOR IN IMPROVING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF STUDENTS' TEAMWORK IN PROJECT-BASED LEARNING

Abstract:
This article discusses the current issue of evolving approaches to education in higher learning institutions. Recently, project-based activities have gained increasing importance and have become one of the most in-demand forms of learning. Project work helps students apply theoretical knowledge in practice and develops their teamwork skills. The study identifies the need to enhance the effectiveness of team collaboration within project-based learning environments. A literature review revealed a well-established research field that highlights the specific features of teamwork in student project activities. The main objective of this research is to identify resources that contribute to improving the efficiency of student teams during project implementation. To achieve this, a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical and methodological aspects of project team work was conducted. It was established that one of the key indicators of team effectiveness is the open exchange of knowledge among project team members, based on established trust relationships. This conclusion is supported by contemporary theoretical models and empirical data, indicating that systematic knowledge management optimizes decision-making processes, enhances synergy, and increases overall productivity of student teams. The study proposes integrating knowledge management processes into the project team lifecycle and developing a specialized “knowledge” model that takes into account the features of the educational environment. The results can be used to further improve project-based learning methodologies and enhance the quality of student preparation for professional activities.
