POTENTIAL OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR DEVELOPING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the issues of determining the opportunities of using artificial intelligence for the development of emotional intelligence of schoolchildren while teaching English. The relevance is due to the insufficient development of the specifics of using digital platforms and neural networks in the educational process in the context of developing emotional intelligence. The purpose of the article is to determine the potential for using artificial intelligence technology to develop emotional intelligence of schoolchildren in the training of future English teachers. A study on the awareness of future English teachers about the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the educational process, as well as its prospects for the development of emotional intelligence was conducted at the Voronezh State Pedagogical University. The results showed a positive attitude of future teachers to the implementation of artificial intelligence in the educational process. At the same time, students showed a lack of knowledge about the strategies for using artificial intelligence to develop emotional intelligence in teaching schoolchildren English. The authors provide examples of exercises based on the use of artificial intelligence, and give recommendations for future English teachers.
