In the period of fierce market competition, relations between employees and employers have moved to a paradigm that involves not only the company’s choice of an employee, but also the employees’ choice of a place of work. This trend creates the need to increase the attractiveness of the company, both for applicants and for specialists already working in it. However, often the methods of personnel motivation give the opposite effect - demotivation, in which the company ceases to be attractive to potential candidates, and its employees lose interest in working in it. In this regard, in the process of activity it is necessary to promptly identify and eliminate demotivating factors that negatively affect the work of the company’s employees. The purpose of the study is to identify the causes and methods of preventing personnel demotivation using the example of a telecommunications company. Using a survey method, activity analysis, statistical reporting materials and regulatory and methodological documents of the company, the authors of the article identified demotivating factors and developed proposals for their elimination.
