This study aims to assess internal and external factors affecting the prices of listed shares of Vietnam's joint-stock commercial banks on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) for the period 2016-2023. Using secondary data from the annual reports of 18 joint-stock commercial banks listed on the HOSE Stock Exchange. The results of the regression analysis show that the share price of banks is influenced by six factors: gross domestic product per capita (GDP); inflation rate (INF); size of the bank; the ratio of market value to book value (PB); return on assets (ROA); return on equity (ROE). Based on the data obtained, the author offers recommendations for investors and stakeholders aimed at minimizing risks for investors and promoting the stable development of the banking sector and the stock market in Vietnam as a whole.
