Abstract (English):
The main principles of thetraction electric machine and power converter theoryof electric rolling stock are given. The collector and brushless traction motors workin the traction and electric braking modes is considered. Structures for constructing traction drives based on power semiconductor devices are proposed. The traction motorswork in non-stationary modes is investigated. An analysis of the regulationprinciples of brushless traction motors is given. The structures of the automatic control systems of the asynchronous traction motors speed and synchronous machines with permanent magnets powered by an independent voltage inverter are presented. The classification, methods and test schemes of rolling stocktraction electric motors are considered. Designed for university students enrolled in the specialty 23.05.03 “Railway rolling stock”, and can also be useful for engineers who are engaged in designing traction electric drive for railway rolling stock.
