Abstract (English):
The monograph is devoted to the analysis of world experience in the field of language learning and teaching in those countries that represent the "growth points" of an unevenly developing global system. The study of languages, first, second and foreign, occupies a significant part of the curricula of educational institutions in any country and consumes a considerable part of material, intellectual and human resources. Much less often, the object of study is the relationship between the study of languages and concepts such as national identity, national unity, nation-building and territorial integrity, which are becoming particularly relevant in the era of globalization, which aims to weaken national states and build new and rebuild existing national, cultural and linguistic identities. In the Russian Federation, this field of research is little known, and the experience gained in the world is practically not used. For specialists, students and postgraduates interested in the problems of educational language policy.
