This monograph poses the problem of the return of Don prose and journalism in full, and therefore the return of the works of M.A. Sholokhov in its natural direc The author of the work proposed her own way of research, far from a narrow, sometimes speculative formulation of the problem of co-authorship, and from a negative attitude to what was done in Don prose before M.A. Sholokhov. The paper determines the interaction of M.A. Sholokhov with his predecessors, as the organic continuity of a certain circle of ideas, types of character, Christian values system, which were formed by a number of writers of the turn of the century. The book is written for students-philologists, university professors, as well as anyone interested in the history and culture of the Cossacks.
