Mission

Mission

"Russian Journal of Project Management" is issued with support of the leading Russian research and educational centers in this area, such as: National Research University Higher School of Economics, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, National Research University of Electronic Technology, etc.

Management of projects is one of the youngest directions of the scientific management, arisen several decades ago and quickly extended worldwide. One of the main reasons of such growth is the increased competition which demanded to implement projects faster and more effectively. As a result the main concepts and approaches to management of projects which continue to develop promptly now were developed.

Despite considerable progress in management of projects the percent of unsuccessful projects still remains quite high and it forms a considerable field for theoretical and practical researches. Our journal is aimed at the publication of such researches.

Our object is contribution to formation of the Russian school of sciences of project management by consecutive forming of the case of knowledge of the most actual problems of project management of and providing the base for interpenetration of ideas of various researchers in this area.

Our medium-term objectives are: providing high scientific level of the journal and the publication of articles at the same time in the Russian and English languages to approach the international level.

Concepts, models, methods, tools and processes of projects, programs, portfolios of projects and project-oriented organizations can be objects of researches in the works published in our journal. Research of branch features of project management is important: in construction, oil and gas branch, IT, development of the software, etc., and also special projects: innovative, financial, hi-tech, etc. Besides, in our opinion, articles devoted to historical aspects of development of project management in Russia and abroad are on the front burner.

On the assumption of it, journal headings are formed:

  • Innovation and project management;
  • Controlling and Financial Management of Projects;
  • Corporate systems of project management;
  • Portfolio, programs and projects management methodology;
  • Methods and instruments of project management;
  • Project management maturity assessment;
  • Projects in branches and companies' experience.

This list cannot be considered full as in process of development of the journal and appearance of new researches there will be new headings.

Our magazine is intended first of all for researchers in the field of project management, teachers of higher education institutions, project managers, program managers and portfolios, and also for all interested in this subject.

We expect that "Russian Journal of Project Management" will increase popularity of scientific researches in the field of project management, efficiency of implementation of real projects and will be useful for our readers!

"Russian Journal of Project Management" pursues independent policy of selection of the manuscripts, assuming obligatory double blind peer review type of all works, and is a platform for free scientific communication.
