The article describes the main trends in the introduction of transport innovations in air transport. It is noted that innovative solutions transform business models and affect significant airport performance indicators. The implementation of process management of transport infrastructure is relevant and effective in the activities of large and regional airports. The world dynamics is described aviation safety indicator, accident indicator statistics are presented. It is shown that the use of innovations and digital technologies as part of the business processes of airport enterprises, leading to the transformation of the business model in terms of transport infrastructure, can solve the problem of air transportation safety. The advantages of the digital solution "Aviation 4.0" are described.
