The article discusses the issues of building a public transport’ rational route system in big urban agglomerations on the basis of a comparative analysis in the Moscow and Beijing mega-cities’ systems. It is notes the superiority of the metropolis public transport networks (MPTNs) route system model implemented in China. The integration and synchronization of various types of public transport work in the united territory of different administrative units is fully implemented in China. An assessment of different types of public transport current state was carried out, problematic issues that need to be solved in Russia for the transition to a more advanced 4th MPTNs model were identified.
