According to the statistical materials of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, the article presents the analysis of the number of municipal employees, their sex and age, the profile of education and qualification level performance during the period of 2009 to 2014. Based on the valuation technique of research, the article defines the current trends in the development of the staff of the municipal service in Russia.
