In the article, the authors highlight a significant event in the world of sports. On October 17–19, the city of Ufa hosted the international sports forum “Russia – a Sports Power”. Russian President V.V. Putin noted the importance of equality and openness, mutual respect, and the introduction of new formats of international cooperation in sports. The forum considered the strategy for the development of sports until 2030. It was also noted that there should be not only high-performance sports and the opportunity to engage in physical education in every city and village. The current areas of sports are considered, aimed not only at developing international cooperation, but also ensuring the national interests of the country and effective social interaction of sports infrastructure.
