The study objective is to construct an information graph of the operation of an abrasive tool with radially movable blocks when grinding non-cylindrical surfaces. The task is the following: the vane pump is designed for pumping slurry liquids of various types with solid particles, which has a high suction power. However, the manufacture of the pump body is complicated due to its ellipsoid shape, which requires the use of complex tooling and reduced cutting speeds to prevent temperature defects in the surface layer. The use of an assembled grinding tool makes it possible to solve several engineering problems: to abandon kinematically complex devices, to ensure the supply of lubricating and cooling fluid to the machining area and to use the abrasive material more effectively. The abrasive blocks are pressed against the treated surface under the action of centrifugal forces, which makes it possible to preserve the previously obtained ellipsoid shape of the pump body. The research methods are based on the fundamental principles of system approach and formalization. The scientific novelty of the study is finding correlations between the key design parameters of assembled grinding wheels, the complex of geometric and operational characteristics of the machined parts, as well as the architecture of the production process at the final stages of machining. The interconnections found allow to formalize the influence of the modular structure of the abrasive tool on the morphology of the surface and the operational parameters of the final stages of production. Study results: during the study, an information graph of the operation of an abrasive tool with radially movable blocks when grinding non-cylindrical surfaces is constructed. Conclusions: the constructed information graph model makes it possible to visually determine the parameters of an abrasive block for processing non-cylindrical holes without using kinematically complex devices or CNC machines.
