This article addresses the issue of developing "soft skills" among students in the field of "music sound engineering" in the context of the modern labor market. It analyzes the contradiction between employers' expectations and the insufficient level of soft skills among most graduates, which is largely attributed to the conservatism and slow adaptation of the higher education system to new challenges. The main types of "soft skills" are examined based on articles by domestic and foreign authors. The role of these skills in the work of a sound engineer is justified. The aim of the research is to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods for developing soft skills among music sound engineering students. The practical significance of this article lies in using the research findings to adapt the professional education system in the field of "music sound engineering" to new labor market conditions.
