The article considers current issues of legal regulation of the production sphere, which can be implemented in various ways. The conditions and procedure for their application are investigated. Significant opinions and positions of leading experts on this issue are studied. The issue of the current relevance of public-law regulation of the production sphere, which meets the needs of Russian society at the current moment, is considered. The tasks of public-law regulation of production activities and production processes are formulated. The components in the system of legislation on the production sphere and production activities are proposed. A conclusion is made about the inevitable complexity of legal regulation of the production sphere, including public-law and private-law principles, which can ensure the greatest effectiveness of legal influence. The specificity of the norms by which production activities are regulated is substantiated, which allows us to talk about a separate institution of legislation.
