In the strategic perspective of the development of the national economy, one of the significant national goals, reflected in the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated May 7, 2024 No. 309 and in the Strategy for the Development of the Construction Industry and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030 with a forecast up to 2035, is the creation of a comfortable and safe living environment for the population. As shown by previously conducted studies of well-known scientific and practical works devoted to the problems of quality assurance in the construction industry, they do not adequately cover the provisions of the qualimetric approach associated with the quantitative assessment of quality, which much more accurately reflects the compliance of construction products not only with the presented, but also with the implied requirements than: qualitative assessment methods, methods for assessing absolute indicators of the quality of construction products. These circumstances predetermined the relevance of the research topic. The purpose of the presented work was to study the basic theoretical and methodological approaches to quality management of construction products from the standpoint of using the provisions of the qualimetric approach in them. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the substantiation of the conclusion that the theoretical and methodological approaches to quality management of construction products use the potential of qualimetric assessment extremely limitedly. It is noted that this fact limits the possibilities of improving the quality of construction products, since according to the postulates of management: firstly, it is possible to manage only what can be measured (i.e., a transition from qualitative to quantitative assessments is required); secondly, quantitative assessments have the greatest value in management when they make it possible to give a qualitative assessment in comparative terms (i.e., they make it possible to move from quantitative to qualitative assessments). It is precisely these opportunities that the qualimetric approach provides. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of their use in the further development of basic theoretical and methodological approaches to quality management of construction products from the standpoint of using the provisions of the qualimetric approach in them.
