The problems to convey the meaning of polysemants and diffusives in intercultural communication are largely caused by the imperfect procedure of differentiation of meanings, which presupposes the identification of some fuzzy general meaning and the original meaning of the word, the consequence of which is the falling out of the situational frame. The solution of these problems is helped by the use of the cognitive approach instead of intuitive one. In this case, there are involved cognitive mechanisms of framing and reframing, preventing falling out of the frame ‘Holiday’.
